...for making the conference such a successful event, and I look forward to seeing you all (and even more newcomers) at the next ICCS! Simon (ICCS 2007 General Chair)
Delegate registration will take place at the registration desk outside the Peak Lecture Theatre (Owen Building) at Sheffield Hallam University's City Campus. The registration desk will be open from 9.00am each day. Please use the Main Entrance to City Campus and the registration desk will be clearly signposted from here. Refer to the University's City Campus plan, which indicates the Main Entrance to City Campus from Hallam Square. The conference sessions will be in the Owen Building, including the Peak Lecture Theatre.
Useful info below that you will need to know about as presenters at ICCS 2007; thanks for your help!
If you are presenting at ICCS please also put up a Poster and add to the atmosphere of the conference, and show off (y)our work to a wider community! To be consistent with the other posters your poster would need to be size A1 (i.e. 594mm × 841mm) with a minimum of 18 point font.
The posters will go up where we will be having our coffee, lunch and tea breaks, as well as a formal session dedicated to posters in the program schedule. There will thus be lots of opportunities to display and explain your work!
If you are presenting a short paper, you will have no more than 10 minutes (including changeover time).
Short paper presenters will be expected to print off any presentation material, which can then be projected using our visualiser (which is like an OHP projector but avoids the need to use acetate slides; plain paper will do!)
So please use your precious time to advertise your poster!
The IT systems at Sheffield Hallam University do not currently support Windows Vista applications such as Office 2007. Therefore if you are planning to give a presentation using this format please save your files as Office 2003.
Please place your presentation on a USB key drive or a CD, as having to hook up your laptop will add too many delays given there is a maximum of 20 minutes per presentation (including changeover, setup time, or any other delays). If you prefer you can use the visualiser (see under Short Papers above). Consider also bringing a poster (see under Posters above).
If you're wishing to spend time before or after ICCS I would strongly recommend visiting the unique Peak District National Park that's on our doorstep. There's more to the UK than London; see for yourself from the official tourist website. (Links open in a new page.) Enjoy! Simon (ICCS General Chair)
